Recipe: Berry Green Smoothie

Tis the New Year and as such, it is time to give our systems a fresh start! Time to wash out the indulgences from the past few weeks (OK...months...) with some wholesome goodness. Our recipe today, is super easy and will be equally appealing to the littles in your house as it is to us big kids! I mean, really, who doesn't love a smoothie??

While some of us (namely me...) may have an initial aversion to adding green stuff where pink and purple yumminess usually reigns supreme, this one will have those nay-sayers changing their tunes! Adding spinach and other greens into fruit based smoothies not only packs in the added nutrients that are sometimes poo-pooed at the dinner table, but you will most likely find that the littles in your house, think that the more flavors they can add in, the better! We like that!

So, stock that New Years freezer with all sorts of frozen fruits and have plenty of fresh greens in the crisper drawer and turn the kiddos, and yourself, loose to make all sorts of creative combos!

If you need a little inspiration to get you started, here it is....
